About Us

I have always been interested in family history and in 1989 on the death of my husband I decided to become a professional researcher. This was extremely interesting and allowed me to meet very many interesting people and make contacts almost all over the world. I made a lot of good friends and gained some useful experience specialising in research at the London archives. One of these contacts made in 2003 was Mick who had recently lost his wife and was trying to research his family

Mick has always been a very active and outgoing person getting involved in filming, diving and motor racing. Needless to say my life changed dramatically as there was hardly ever a weekend when we were at home. We did manage to find time for family history as we bought a motorhome and travelled to Wales where Mick's father was born and met up with family he didn't even know about!

In 2005 we decided to get married when we had a truly memorable wedding at The Holiday Inn, Maidenhead. Soon after that we obtained Mattie who is the most adorable West Highland White dog. In August 2007 we moved to a large house in Lincolnshire where many of our friends frequently come and stay with us
